About AMRIC

Addictive Manufacturing Research and Innovation Center (AMRIC) was established in May 2013. The purpose of this initiative which was inspired by the management of KKTM Kuantan is to provide research and development (R&D) service to external industries and universities in Kuantan, Pahang. This collaboration network involves industrial entities such as: SAPURA, SIRIM Berhad, Nestari Resources Sdn. Bhd. Materiliase (M) Sdn. Bhd. and local universities such as UMP, UTM, USM, UTHM and so on. Development of this network is mostly assisted by the Universiti Malaysia Pahang. AMRIC is a One Stop Centre for R&D and Small Series Production which helps entrepreneurs to manufacture products on a small scale. AMRIC system offers diversity in 3D Printing technology by using composite materials, plastic and metal.

There are more than 10 types of Industrial 3D Printer offered to KKTM Kuantan students and services as well as consultations to external industries in the field of advanced technology such as Biomedical and Aerospace. AMRIC is operated by KKTM Kuantan lecturers who are experienced and have the expertise and capability to provide consultation services to outsiders.
